Room 8 Homework T4 W6

A reminder that Athletics Day will take place next Thursday 1st December. Children need to make sure they bring a change of clothes and a drink bottle for the day.
Our swimsafe trip is also coming up on Tuesday6th December. Please ensure that your child’s form and money have been sent out. Also that you’ve read the notice carefully that was sent home.
This is the last week for homework, however I will still sending readers home.

Thank you to all of the parents who came and watched the Arts Festival on Friday, it was a huge success and we were all very proud of the children’s efforts.

This week a lot of children have forgotten to bring their reading books back. Can you please help your child to remember to bring it back each day. Thank you to those of you who do return them.
Spelling
This week Room 8 are learning about the ‘oo’ sound, in words like ‘look’ and ‘could’. Get your child to brainstorm as many words that have the ‘oo’ sound in it:

Practise doubles and halves to 20.
Eg. 8 +8 = 16 so half of 16 is 8

Practise skip counting in 10s to 100. How many tens/decades in the following numbers?
