Homework Room 8 Term 3 Week 2

This week:
- We had author Paula Green visit on Tuesday 9th August.
-Cross country is this Thursday 11th August with a 12 o’clock start – if wet it will take place on Monday 15th August.
For our next topic we will be making puppets. If anyone has any crafts or objects that we could use for this it would be awesome if you could get your child to bring them to school. 


Reading
Please read with your child each night and ensure they/you return the reader the next day.


Spelling
This week we have been looking at the ‘wh’ sound. Get your child to brainstorm as many words with the ‘wh’ sound in it.

Spelling words: Please practise reading and spelling these words with your child.

Maths- Get your child to practice writing and saying the following out loud:

Rectangles
Skip counting in 2s forwards and backwards to 100

Squares and Triangles
Skip counting in 5s forwards and backwards to 20.

Circles
Counting backwards from any number in the range 1 – 20.
