Please refer to the high frequency word sheet that is glued into your child’s book. I am working on these words with your child during reading time as they are essential to their reading and writing skills.

Maths
Please continue to help your child learn their basic facts to 5. This is something that children need constant practice with, as it takes a while to learn instantly. The $2 shop has a great range of flash cards that are perfect for basic facts recall.
Matheletics is another great way to increase your child’s knowledge and skills in maths.

HELP!!
Is there a lovely parent out there who has spare time (what does that mean?!) to put away the readers that the children take home for reading. I do this once a week so that books are ‘re-stocked’ for other teachers.
